Party!

Our darling Liam is now three! It has been a fun/difficult/fulfilling/frustrating/love filled three years. These last two days have been only filled with love though, it is so fun to take time out to just celebrate your little ones and spoil them as much as you can! Liam had his first real birthday party, with friends and everything.

It was a lot of fun for all of us I think, Ryan and I loved decorating and planning for it and loved seeing his excitement in the morning when he came downstairs and saw the decorations, he paused at the bottom of the stairs and got a big smile on his face "where did that come from?", he then proceeded to play with the balloons with Gavin for about an hour. We just loved seeing his excitement. We were a little nervous as Ryan was on call that day and got an e-mail from a co-worker telling him to take a nap because he might be called in as his wife was about to have a baby. Luckily Ryan did not get called in either night, although he did disappear after the main festivities of the party to take a nap just in case.

Pinata! This was a home made pinata that was actually supposed to look nice but it did not dry in time for me to decorate it. But the most important part is that it works and delivers the candy, which it did.

We put these sticky hands all over the wall for the kids to play with. It might have been the most popular item there.

And then of course cake and presents.

It is so cute how excited other kids get about giving presents. I loved watching them crowd around and get so excited for Liam.

Liam's big present was his own sleeping bag and camping chair, so that night we camped out in his room, he slept in his little toy tent. He was pretty enthused and has now slept in there for his nap today and tonight again.
